First of all, if you’re here… you’re probably considering a boudoir session. I want you to know that you’re on the right path, and you’re always welcome in my sphere. I understand any amount of nerves or hesitations you have, because this type of photo session can feel vulnerable. But I want to share with you some myths about boudoir that might help you feel more confident booking your session.
There are so many ideas about who boudoir is “for” and what you need to look like, wear, or know before stepping in front of the camera. So, I say… let’s clear a few of those up.
My friend, it is not selfish to celebrate yourself. It is not vain to carve out time to step in front of the camera looking & feeling your best. It’s not wrong to want to be remembered and captured.
Photo sessions are morally neutral and have a big impact on your confidence, so why not give yourself that gift?
Boudoir can be a way to reconnect with your body, celebrate a milestone, or simply do something that feels exciting and personal. You do not need a special reason. You do not have to earn it. Not only that, but you deserve to feel beautiful and confident simply because you are you.

Guess what? You really, really don’t. I have worked with over a hundred women in my studio and I can promise you… the weight is not an issue. Even if you’ve gained weight through life lately, you are still GORGEOUS. I can show you with my camera.
Boudoir is about celebrating the body you have right now.
The images from your session will show you just how powerful you can look. They will be tangible evidence on the days you feel low self-esteem or body dysmorphia. They will remind you the truth: that you’re a baddie with a body.

You do not need a drawer full of lingerie to have an amazing boudoir session.
The wardrobe can be as simple or elaborate as you want. A classic black lace. A flowing robe or statement piece. A simple button-up shirt.
Or! You can pull from my client closet. Wear the angel wings. Done the tulle gown. Borrow a lacy set.
The goal is to create images that feel like you. When someone books a session with me, I walk you through what to wear and how to prepare for your session. If you have no lingerie, you’re still going to have a fantastic boudoir experience in the studio. Clothes are optional! 😉

This is one of the biggest misconceptions!! I pinky promise you!
You do not need modeling experience. It’s a-okay if you don’t know what to do with your hands or face! You certainly do not need to memorize poses from Pinterest.
That is where my expertise as an Austin boudoir photographer comes in. You will feel guided through posing, movement, and expression throughout your session so you can relax and enjoy the experience. I have spent years training and learning all about lighting and posing so that you don’t have to. I invest into my education and gear as a photographer to capture the best photos of you.

Professional photography is an investment, but the long-term ROI is something that only gets higher with time. Every year that you have these photos to look back on, they only get more precious to you as your body & life changes.
So I do not want this session to feel out of reach for you.
Payment plans are available to make a boudoir experience more accessible. I offer custom in-house payment plans to help you break up installments, and make this a reality for yourself. If you have been dreaming about creating these portraits, reach out and let’s talk about your options.
Boudoir is not about fitting into a certain mold. It is about seeing yourself differently. Whether your style is soft and romantic, dramatic and editorial, or bold and playful, your session can be designed around you… where you’re at today.
You do not have to wait until you lose weight. Nor do you need a closet full of lingerie. I promise, you do not need to know how to pose.
You just need to show up as yourself.
See you in the studio?
